For the last several years I have been working on a capital murder case, where the State claimed Ed Graf set fire to a storage shed killing his two sons. The State’s evidence came primarily from arson experts, applying investigative techniques that have now been discredited. A writ of habeas corpus was filed in the 54th District Court of McLennan County, and a hearing was recently held – which is the first post-conviction challenging an old arson case.
